This past Saturday we held our annual Christmas Bazaar fundraiser - a day in which we transform the public (non-enclosed) side of priory into a mini-Christmas market for a couple of hours.
Several of the Sisters attended to various stalls and were delighted to see so many friendly faces of those who know us well and those we had the privilege to meet for the first time.
Serving teas and coffees with a smile - Sr. Rosaleen and Adele
Sr. Veronica on the always-popular Tombola
Sr. Mary Benedicta on the Bric-a-Brac
The Book/DVD and Teddy Bear stall with Sr. Carino
Joy was everywhere -- as were winners for the new Christmas Bazaar feature: Sr. Hyacinthe's Prize-a-Time!!
Thanks be to God, we were able to raise nearly £1,000 (we were a mere £50 short) to help our community and mission in serving the Lord! After cleaning and re-arranging the priory, we were able to end our evening with great thanksgiving in celebrating 1st Verspers of the First Sunday of Advent. Happy sisters!
